A proper education should be a basic human right, but it’s not in some parts of the world. Cost is usually a barrier for most people to be able to get a decent education. Many people do not live up to their full potential because they lack skills, opportunities and access to knowledge. This has now changed due to the Internet. Anyone online can now learn about a variety of subjects, if they choose too. Master a technology, develop skills, or take a course for free from a world class institution. It’s all there for your taking. What are you waiting for? Life is about the dialectic. Care to create a better you? Release the alchemist inside, transmute that base metal into gold.

The control of information is something the elite always does, particularly in a despotic form of government. Information, knowledge, is power. If you can control information, you can control people.

Free web-based courses
MIT OpenCourseWare (OCW) is a web-based publication of virtually all Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) course content. OCW is open and available to the world and is a permanent MIT activity.
EdX offers courses from leading institutions such as Harvard University, Boston University, UC Berkeley, Notre Dame, Cornell, and Dartmouth to name a few. With the exception of professional education courses, EdX courses are free for everyone. Some courses have a fee for verified certificates but are free to audit.
Khan Academy is a great source that “will provide a free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere”. It offers a variety of subject such as math, science, computer programming, history, and economics.
Coursera provides universal access to the world’s best education, partnering with top universities and organizations to offer courses online.
